The Widmer-Bradfield Trophy inter-club event, held between Ballarat’s and Hobart’s finest players was held recently and as usual, some remarkable matches were played for those that came along and enjoyed the fine tennis.
Comprising of four best of five set doubles matches and two best of 5 set singles matches – the event was sure to be a gruelling encounter for all involved. A change in format saw the number one doubles match played at the Club on Saturday night in front of plenty of onlookers who enjoyed a pasta night put on by our Social Committee gurus! Ballarat won the event in what was a very close result. Match scores as follows:
