Another year and there is another bunch of names for the record boards. Jenni Murphy is named MVP for two wins and one runner-up. The Christmas Celebration and presentations put on by the Social Committee is a great success with the biggest attendance in years. It features the play off for the Club Championship between Daniel and Michael Williams which is the highlight of the season. These are now two of the best three juniors in Australia and the big crowd loved the brilliant tennis and the fierce fraternal rivalry. Daniel prevails in the end justifying his slightly lower handicap but it could easily have gone the other way. Mr and Mrs Williams looked on proudly … diplomatically supporting whoever was behind at the time.
