BTC’s 2015 Ballarat Open Handicap Doubles was unable to be completed in that year and as a consequence, was played in March 2016. It ended up being a big weekend at the Club – with three full groups of doubles pairs battling it out for event honours!

Group A was played on the Friday night and saw a bunch of tight matches – but it was Annie Strange and Tonya Spencer that came through victorious in the end winning two out of their three matches.

Group B was played on Saturday and with the entire group comprising our A Grade players…the pace was fast and furious. However, it was Mick Fenelon and Malcolm Rodgers that progressed through to the final series…

A group of five pairs did battle in Group C on Sunday afternoon and after a long session that went well over time, it was Chris Alizzi and Andrew Rowan that came out on top.

After a torrid finals series between each of the group winners, the 2015 Ballarat Open Handicap Doubles title goes to:

1st Mick Fenelon/Malcolm Rodgers

2nd Chris Alizzi/Andrew Rowan

3rd Tonya Spencer/A Strange

Mick Fenelon & Malcolm Rodgers

Mick Fenelon & Malcolm Rodgers

Well done to everyone that had a go – but a big congrats goes to our new Champs, Mick & Mal…well done boys!
